Ed and his family have been members at Broadway for more than 10 years. In this time, Ed has served as one of our dedicated deacons, taught classes, and been involved with our youth and many other areas of service. Ed has served as an Elder at Broadway since 2017. He has been married to his wife, Teresa, for 25 years and they have a faithful, Christian son, Matthew. Ed retired from the United States Postal Service at the end of 2020 after 30 years of federal service. He is a graduate of Stephen F Austin State University and served as a Captain in the U.S. Army in South Korea, Hawaii, and Fort Hood.
I was born in Center, Texas and raised in the Tyler area. I graduated from Whitehouse High School in 1979 and attended the White’s Ferry Road School of Biblical Studies in 1980-81, where I met and married my wife, Sherry. We have two adult children and three grandchildren who all worship at Broadway. My family and I have been at Broadway since 1999.
I have served as the Minister of Evangelism since 2009 and as an Elder since 2011. I teach various bible classes and preach whenever our ministers are away. I oversee the staff and the everyday operation of our congregation.
